Went to the gym today to attend an ab toning class only to find out that they were all girls. I was lucky that I showed up a few minutes late cause watching them exercise, I knew I didn’t belong there 🙂 Instead I worked out on my own and I’m feeling pretty sore.
I picked up a book on Game Engines called Game Engine Architecture by Jason Gregory. The author was actually a customer of mine at Havok. He is a generalist programmer at Naughty Dog. The book covers the basics of game engines without going too deep into any particular topic. The book is still over 800 pages with plenty of references and extra material to cover.
As for Kanji, I feel good about the 10 I learned yesterday. I don’t remember all the examples, but I can read them without any problems. Writing them is not bad but I think once I pile up more characters, things will get tricky. I need to stay on top of it by reviewing every day. Looking at the blog is a good way to review.
